Corten Steel

With hues ranging from red to brown, Corten imparts to any building a rustic appearance and solid protection against the elements. Known as ‘weathering steel’ it has remarkable durability and resistance against corrosion.

Corten is a steel based material, best-known under the trademark COR-TEN®. The surface is initially a mill finish and then forms a protective layer of rust early which develops and reacts overtime to slow corrosion of the steel. Corten material is long lasting and low maintenance.

Initially it is a reddish brown colour, however overtime it becomes darker.
